Carved into a granite cliff face at the western edge of Pedregal, El Farallon — Spanish for "sea cliff" — stages its dining room on a candle-lit terrace where waves crash against boulders directly below. The Infatuation has called the setting "more like a movie set in Baja than real life," and the restaurant is consistently described as one of the most revered reservations to score in Cabo San Lucas. Service style is anchored by a chalkboard display of the day's catch from local fishermen; guests select their main from that rotating offering while the rest of the prix-fixe menu — bread, soup, appetizers, sides, and dessert — is curated by the kitchen.

What to order. Mains rotate by what comes off the boat that morning: sea bass, red snapper, yellowfin and bluefin tuna, totoaba, amberjack, jumbo shrimp, and spiny lobster are among the regularly featured options. The signature Seafood Tower arrives with snow crab, bluefin tuna sashimi, and black abalone. A "Baja bounty" mixed-grill format pairs catches with the kitchen's wood-fired technique. For milestone occasions, the restaurant offers El Farallon by the Sea — a private candlelit table for up to four guests set directly on the sand below the cliff, accessed by lantern-lit steps.

Savor the Sea. Dinner here is preceded by the property's Champagne Terrace ritual: a rotating collection of 20 different champagnes — including the resort's private-label Pedregal Collection — is served as a three-flight tasting, by the glass, or by the bottle, paired with caviar, day-boat sashimi, Baja oysters, and snow and king crab. Live acoustic music plays during the sunset window.

Best for. Anniversaries, proposals, and special-occasion dinners — sunset seating is the most-requested booking; the granite terrace faces west over the Pacific. Dress code reads as casual elegant. Dinner service runs from 5:00 PM nightly, with live entertainment in the early evening.
