Cabo Passport Mobile Privacy Policy

Cabo Passport Mobile is operated as part of the WhatsInCabo / TravelDesk ecosystem to help users access passport memberships, local partner benefits, reservations, gift cards, and tourism-related services in Los Cabos.

Information

Information we collect

We may collect information that you provide or generate while using Cabo Passport Mobile, including:

  • Contact information such as first name, last name, email address, phone number, country, city, and language preference.
  • Account and profile information, including profile photos and saved traveler details.
  • Passport, membership, order, gift card, redemption, reservation, and benefit activity.
  • Payment-related transaction information processed through Stripe. Cabo Passport does not store full payment card numbers in the app.
  • Location information when you use map, nearby partner, or location-enabled features.
  • Device and app information such as account identifiers, device identifiers, push notification tokens, app version, operating system, logs, diagnostics, and security data.
  • Customer support information and messages you send to us.

How we use information

We use this information to:

  • Create and manage Cabo Passport accounts.
  • Operate passports, memberships, benefits, gift cards, reservations, redemptions, and partner services.
  • Process payments and help fulfill tourism-related products or services.
  • Provide customer support and account communications.
  • Send transactional notifications about passport activity, reservations, benefits, and account updates.
  • Improve reliability, security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and app performance.
  • Meet legal, accounting, tax, contractual, regulatory, dispute-resolution, and audit obligations.

Providers

Service providers and third parties

We may use trusted service providers to operate the app and related services, including payment processors, hosting providers, analytics or diagnostics tools, maps/location providers, notification services, and support systems. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to Cabo Passport.

Payments

Payment processing

Payments may be processed by Stripe or another approved payment provider. Payment details are handled by the payment provider according to its own terms and privacy practices. Cabo Passport may receive transaction status, payment identifiers, order details, and related records needed to fulfill purchases, prevent fraud, provide support, and comply with accounting or legal obligations.

Location

Location

Cabo Passport may request location permission to show nearby partners, maps, directions, or partner-related location features. You can manage location permission in your device settings.

Photos

Photos and user content

If you choose to upload a profile photo or traveler photo, Cabo Passport stores that image to provide profile and traveler-management features. You may delete your account or request support for additional assistance.

Deletion

Delete your Cabo Passport account

You can delete your Cabo Passport Mobile account directly inside the app:

Profile > Personal Info > Delete account

The app will ask you to type CONFIRM before processing deletion.

When your account is deleted, Cabo Passport deactivates your account, revokes active sessions, removes profile contact details, deletes saved travelers, favorites, push tokens, and stored customer/traveler photos when available.

Some records may be retained when required for legal, payment, fraud prevention, accounting, contractual, dispute-resolution, or audit obligations. This may include purchases, passports, gift cards, redemptions, reservations, and transaction history.

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing support@whatsincabo.com. Please include the email address associated with your Cabo Passport account. We may request additional information to verify account ownership before processing the request.

Retention

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to operate Cabo Passport, provide services, support users, meet legal or contractual obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and maintain audit or accounting records. Retention periods may vary by data type and legal requirement.

Security

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

Children

Cabo Passport Mobile is not intended for children under 13. Users should not provide information for children unless they have appropriate authority and the information is required for a passport, traveler, reservation, or related service.
