Chilaquiles a la Diabla

Los Deseos is the Mexican restaurant and bar of Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa, on the marina in downtown Cabo San Lucas, in the waterfront strip its owners call the Golden Zone. It is open every day from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with a breakfast menu and a dinner menu. The restaurant sums up its kitchen as the Mexican flavors you want to taste in one place, from chilaquiles and seafood to chimichangas and mole. Mornings bring chilaquiles four ways and regional plates such as Oaxacan tetelas; dinner moves on to enchiladas, moles, molcajetes, tacos, steaks and whole lobster. Prices are in pesos and include 16% VAT: hot breakfast plates run from 140 to 325 pesos, enchilada, fajita and chicken plates from 285 to 460, seafood mains from 425 to 560, and the whole lobsters are 2,450.
Los Deseos means "the wishes" in Spanish. Marina Fiesta opened on the marina in 1991, and in 2004 Los Deseos became its first restaurant there, with a Mexican concept meant to carry Mexican traditions through its food; the Golden Zone name followed a year later. The restaurant reopened in 2024 after renovations, and its logo still reads Tu Cocina Mexicana, Est. 2004. The restaurant describes its design as a blend of "the mystic and the modern," and the room shows it: arches painted with gold black-letter script, a carved stone fountain, a tree hung with handwritten paper tags and a large mural of an elderly woman holding a candle.
On the marina — the covered terrace sits right on the marina walkway, with the boats of Cabo San Lucas just across the railing.

A room worth a look — calligraphy-covered arches, a stone fountain, a tree of handwritten tags and a candle-lit mural.
