Tomahawk Prime

Jack's Steak House is the pirate-themed steakhouse of Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa, on the marina boardwalk at Paseo de la Marina in Cabo San Lucas. It is one of the five Golden Zone restaurants the resort runs on the waterfront, alongside Baja Lobster Co., Presto, Los Deseos and Golden Legends. The restaurant calls itself a bar and grill with international cuisine, and the menus show it: prime and high choice cuts, whole lobster and surf and turf at dinner, and ceviche, tacos, burgers, wraps and salads at lunch. Inside, the walls are painted red, an old-style chart of Baja California and the Sea of Cortez runs across the ceiling, and model galleons, carved sea creatures, skulls and pirate figures fill the corners. Outside, a covered terrace under the arcade looks straight onto the yachts at the marina docks.
Jack's opened in 2008 as Jack's Bar & Grill, a pirate-theme restaurant that took the place of the resort's earlier Los Corsarios, according to the Golden Zone's own history. Marina Fiesta opened in 1991 as the first hotel of the Mexico Grand Hotels group. At dinner every steak comes with baked potato and vegetables, from a 7-ounce flank steak and an 8-ounce filet mignon to a 16-ounce American Wagyu rib eye, a 35-ounce porterhouse and a 40-ounce tomahawk. On the dinner menu linked from the restaurant's page, steaks run from 430 pesos for the flank steak to 2,995 pesos for the tomahawk, with 16% tax included, so confirm current prices when you book. Vegetarian plates include a stuffed portobello and eggplant slices with tofu.
A pirate tavern on the marina — red walls, a painted sea-chart ceiling, iron and crystal chandeliers, model ships and pirate figures.
At Marina Fiesta since 2008 — opened as Jack's Bar & Grill, it has kept its place on the marina for close to two decades.
Cuts made for sharing — the specialties run to a 35-ounce porterhouse, a 40-ounce tomahawk and a whole lobster.
The terrace on the boardwalk — covered tables under the arcade face the marina docks, and the restaurant invites guests to come for the sunset.
Tomahawk Prime — 40 ounces, served with baked potato, grilled vegetables and Jack's salad; the house suggests a Cabernet or a red blend with it.
Jack's Surf & Turf — a whole lobster with two high choice filet mignons, served with baked potato and vegetables.
Jack's Ceviche — fish and shrimp marinated in lemon juice with onion, coriander, pineapple, cucumber, avocado and habanero chili.
Grilled Octopus — seven ounces, marinated with a sausage vinaigrette and served with mashed avocado and chimichurri.
Coconut Shrimp — coconut-breaded shrimp with mango sauce, served with rice and vegetables.
Jack's Salad — organic lettuce with strawberry, fig, walnut, cherry tomato, goat cheese, bacon and balsamic vinaigrette.
