His story

I'm Adrián De Antoni, a film producer and nature documentary filmmaker. I was born in Argentina and today I live in Los Cabos, at the southern tip of Baja California Sur. From here I travel the roads of our planet, reaching places as remote as Argentine Patagonia. My camera and my drone are the perfect companions to tell the relationship between ecosystems, plants, wildlife and the communities that live alongside them.

I'm drawn to what never makes it onto a postcard: the invisible, what you often can't see but can feel — life on the ranches and their way of being, the customs of the mountain villages, the islands, and the everyday lives of the people who look after this land.

That's how Historias de Rancho was born, the documentary series I directed for Wahu in 2024. It's also how I came to ASUPMATOMA, a documentary about the 30 years of work of this association dedicated to protecting sea turtles in Los Cabos, made with the support of MAJA Sportswear and its Huella MAJA program.

With Wahu, the Mexican independent film platform, I've made more than ten productions as a director, among them Entre el Mar & el Desierto, En busca de la Pitaya and the series AREWA. My stories of rural tourism in Los Cabos are also part of the official website of the Los Cabos Tourism Board.

Companies such as SUBARU MÉXICO and COPA AIRLINES have supported my projects, helping me share a different view of our planet: more genuine, closer and more transparent.

I studied business administration and digital business at the IAE in Buenos Aires, and I started businesses in the United States and Mexico. But I arrived in Baja California Sur full of dreams, and this land ended up changing my course. I traded offices for dirt roads, ranches and sea turtle camps. Along the way, I discovered that a camera can be a way of caring for a place.

The sea recharges me and lets me connect with who I am, while I find a balance between these two worlds.

I film so that people get to know this land and want to protect it. From my first life as an entrepreneur I kept the ability to bring people together around a shared project: from ranchers and researchers to institutions, brands and public officials.

Many of my images end up in classrooms and research studies, and they support the work of conservation organizations. At the same time, they give companies a different, more human and more conscious way to show our planet.

I believe in documentary film as a way to create knowledge, memory and bonds that stay alive over time, from the deepest connection with the places we inhabit.

I've learned that I'm imprinting part of my vision of the world so that someone can see it through my eyes — so that something without order, without balance and sometimes without beauty becomes something beautiful, harmonious, hypnotic, unique and incredible.

“A camera can be a way of caring for a place.”

Adrián De Antoni
