Flora Bakehouse Focaccia
House focaccia from the sibling bakehouse, served as a simple farm-table starter.

Flora Farms is one of San José del Cabo's most beloved farm-to-table dining destinations, offering a one-of-a-kind culinary experience surrounded by organic gardens and the rustic charm of Baja California. Known for its fresh-picked ingredients, wood-fired dishes, craft cocktails, and gorgeous open-air setting, it has become the destination of choice for brunch, dinner, and special occasions. Guests can also browse artisan shops, enjoy live music, and soak in a tranquil countryside atmosphere just minutes from downtown Cabo.
The farm spans 25 working organic acres in Las Ánimas Bajas, ten miles north of San José del Cabo, with an additional 150-acre ranch supplying its meat, eggs, and dairy. The main restaurant, Flora's Field Kitchen, sits under a canopy of olive trees with shaded farm tables; on peak nights the property seats up to 800 across its open-air spaces. The kitchen runs a field rotisserie, a stone-oven bakery, and an on-site butcher who smokes meats and crafts house sausages — most produce is picked the morning of service.
What to order. Flora Farms is anchored by two kitchens. The Field Kitchen turns out a wood-fired pork chop, chicken Milanese with lemon-arugula and shaved Parmesan, seasonal squash-ricotta ravioli with brown butter, heirloom tomato carpaccio, and a daily-changing fresh catch. Around the corner, Mama's Pizzeria serves 15 Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas, with the Fennel Sausage & Mozzarella and the Farm Bacon with Farm Egg the most-cited orders. The Farm Bar is famous for its signature Farm Julep (watermelon water, basil, mint, light rum) and the citrus-and-agave Farmarita. Save room for the key lime pie.
Beyond the table. Flora Farms operates as a full destination: artisan shops, the HIVE Fragrance Studio, the Farm Spa, and the Flora Farms Grocery. Daily free farm tours are open to guests, and the property offers cooking classes (including a Salsa Cooking Class), herbalist walks through indigenous Baja plants, art classes, songwriter sessions, and seasonal movie nights. The Culinary Cottages & Haylofts — ten hand-built luxury homes on the farm — are available for stays, with private fire pits, BBQs, and access to the heated pool, yoga studio, pickleball courts, and a private beach club at Puerto Los Cabos marina (about a mile away).
Best for. Brunch is the most-loved meal here — Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM, Sunday from 10:00 AM. Lunch and dinner reservations are heavily contested; Vogue has called Flora Farms "one of the toughest reservations to snag in Los Cabos," and dinner slots should be booked two to three months ahead for peak season. Reservations run through SevenRooms (reservations@flora-farms.com / +52.624.142.1000); breakfast walk-ins are accepted.
Getting there. Free off-street parking and valet are available. The drive in from Cabo San Lucas takes roughly 35 minutes; from the airport, around 25. The final approach is an unpaved farm road — slow but accessible by any rental car.
Recognition. Flora Farms holds a MICHELIN Green Star (sustainability) and a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand (quality and value), and is featured on the World's 50 Best Discovery platform.
