Tacos al Pastor
Marinated pork on handmade tortillas. The restaurant calls its tacos al pastor its famous dish.

Las Guacamayas San José del Cabo is a taquería and Mexican restaurant on Paseo de los Marinos at Paseo de los Pescadores, in Colonia Chamizal, near Clínica San José. The menu is built around tacos al pastor on handmade tortillas and a long list of antojitos: sopes, volcanes, gorditas, quesadillas and stuffed potatoes, plus molcajetes and house specials. Tacos start at 48 pesos and molcajetes run from 415 to 460 on the restaurant's menu file from May 2025. The dining room has two levels, with the upper floor under a palapa roof. Condé Nast Traveler named it one of five taco spots to try in Los Cabos in 2012, describing a place with more locals than tourists. The restaurant currently announces opening hours of 3:00 PM to midnight.
The menu repeats seven fillings in its tacos, volcanes and chorreadas: pastor, chicken, pork chop, beef steak, chuletón (beef rib), chorizo and arrachera. Sopes, gorditas and two styles of quesadilla, al comal or chilanga (fried), have their own lists, with fillings such as huitlacoche, squash blossom, tinga and chicharrón prensado. Larger plates include fajitas, queso fundido and specials with names like Que Me Ves and No Que No. Items flagged as new add shrimp and octopus to the molcajetes and the stuffed potatoes. Desserts are flan, fried plantain and churros, and the San José branch also promotes frozen yogurt and fruit ices on its Facebook page. The menu also lists branches in Cabo San Lucas, La Paz and El Sargento, and the company caters taquizas for events of 30 people or more.
