21 Grams cocktail (aged rum, coconut, cardamom)
Signature cocktail of aged rum, fresh coconut cream, and cardamom — Esperanza's most-ordered drink at sunset.

Perched on the dramatic Punta Ballena bluffs at Esperanza, Auberge Resorts Collection, Alma is a lounge with two personalities, both anchored by sweeping ocean views and the sound of waves crashing on the rocks below. Mornings begin slowly here, with traditional espresso drinks pulled from Mexico's finest single-origin beans and pastries like the Choco-concha, a Oaxacan chocolate bun filled with caramelia ganache.
By late afternoon Alma transforms into one of the most atmospheric cocktail rooms in Los Cabos. The bar team layers specialty mezcals, tequilas and sotols with regional ingredients — coconut, cardamom, dates, pumpkin seed — to build signature pours such as the 21 Grams, an aged-rum libation infused with coconut and cardamom. Coffee service runs daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and cocktail service runs daily from 5 p.m. to midnight, with live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
Alma's coffee program is a destination in its own right: beans come from Exploradores de Café, a Mexican specialty roaster partnered with award-winning farms including Finca Santa Cruz in Chiapas (top of the 2022 Mexico Cup of Excellence). House-made plant-based milks — creamy oat, nutty almond, maple-pecan, and the signature Alma milk of nuts, pumpkin seeds and dates — round out the menu and lift drinks like the Almond Dalgona and the Pistachio Affogato with cardamom-date tincture.
Best for: sunset cocktails before dinner, a quiet morning espresso with an ocean view, or a romantic nightcap with live music. Guests of Esperanza walk in; outside visitors should call +52 624 145 6400 to confirm access and reserve.
