Live-fire grilled meats
Organic beef and poultry cooked over an open flame, plated simply with garden greens, fresh herbs and roasted vegetables so the smoke and quality of the ingredients lead.

Set in the heart of the organic garden at the adults-only Kimpton Mas Olas Resort and Spa, Botánica is El Pescadero's most immersive garden-to-table table. The resort, reborn in 2024 from the former Rancho Pescadero, built its dining around a working farm, and the restaurant reads like an extension of it: rows of cactus and seasonal beds frame open-air tables, while a wood-fired oven and live-fire grill anchor the kitchen. Vegetables are picked steps from the plate, organic beef and poultry meet open flame, and a thoughtful bar pours robust wines, local craft beers and herb-forward cocktails. The result is honest, ingredient-led Baja cooking just minutes from Todos Santos and the Pacific surf breaks of the Pescadero coast.
Botánica trades formality for a relaxed, sun-and-stars sensibility that feels distinctly Baja. By day, covered terraces and bistro tables scatter through the desert garden, where towering cardón cactus and wild plantings stand in for walls. As the light fades, woven star lanterns glow above the pergolas, the open bar fills with the clink of glassware, and the wood-fired oven throws warmth across the stone terraces. Dinner here is unhurried and convivial, equally suited to a quiet anniversary, a long table of friends or a drink before the meal. With the kitchen, bar and garden all in view, the room turns the act of cooking into part of the scenery, an alfresco stage where the desert, the fire and the harvest share the spotlight.
A true garden-to-table kitchen — Much of the menu is grown on site, with vegetables, herbs and flowers harvested from the resort's organic garden and carried straight to the plate, so dishes change with the seasons and the day's pick.
Live fire and wood-fired oven — Organic beef and poultry are grilled over open flame, and a wood-fired oven turns out blistered, brick-oven pizzas, giving the cooking a smoky, elemental character you can watch from your table.
Open-air garden setting — Tables sit among cactus beds and seasonal plantings under timber pergolas strung with star lanterns, an alfresco room that feels like dining inside the farm itself.
Thoughtful bar program — The drinks list reaches beyond the usual, pairing robust wines and local craft beers with cocktails infused with fresh herbs and pressed juices from the garden.
Live-fire grilled meats — Organic beef and poultry cooked over an open flame, plated simply with garden greens, fresh herbs and roasted vegetables so the smoke and quality of the ingredients lead.
Garden harvest salads — Hearty salads built from vegetables, herbs and flowers picked the same day in the resort's organic garden, a clean, seasonal showcase of what is ripe.
Wood-fired oven pizza — Brick-oven pizzas with a charred, bubbled crust topped with garden produce and house touches, a casual counterpoint to the live-fire grill.
Garden-infused cocktails — Craft cocktails shaken with fresh herbs and pressed juices, designed to echo the produce and aromatics growing just beyond the bar.
