Our story begins in the 1920s along the rugged shores of the East Cape Shipwrecks, where the Aripez family fished to sustain their livelihood. What started as survival grew into a tradition — skills, techniques and a love for the sea passed down through generations.
By the 1990s sportfishing tourism from California transformed the region. The Aripez family adapted, guiding anglers from sandy beaches and later from the sport fishing marina of San José del Cabo. Those early days of guiding first-time marlin and dorado anglers shaped how we welcome guests today.
Today Abigail Sport Fishing, led by Pablo Aripez and his team, operates from Marina Puerto Los Cabos, Dock A, with a fleet of 14 well-equipped boats and bilingual local captains who know Los Cabos waters intimately. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned angler, we tailor each trip to your goals and skill level.
